Abstract

Abstract : Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) can be a severe condition requiring emergency treatment. Misdiagnosis or delay in treatment can prove fatal. An unusual presentation of NMS is outlined in a patient being restarted on clozapine following a mild COVID‐19 infection. A discussion on NMS explores its pathogenicity and the various ways it can present clinically, which further illustrates the atypical features of this case.
