Abstract

Abstract : Gastric tonometry and intravesical pressure measurement were performed on eight babies born with gastroschisis for 72 hours after abdominal closure. Intravesical pressure was not high. The gastric mucosal pco 2 and gastric mucosal pH remained stable and closely matched arterial values. Tonometry may be a useful technique to monitor these babies.
