- Abstract: This article pays particular attention on the operation and process of energy conversion in cascaded induction motors worked under balance and unbalance circumstances. In this study, we considered the multi induction motors, which are coupled as mechanically in form of cascade mode with the same capacity. Moreover, a Single Induction Motor (SIM), which its capacity is sum of the capacity of all Multi–Cascaded Induction Motors (MCIMs), are considered for comparing the results. In operation time, unbalancing can be happen in the individual of the given voltage and frequency. The effects of the balance voltage and unbalanced frequency on highest and stable torque, power factor, active as well as reactive input powers, ohm losses, and finally, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in current and voltage have been examined. This study shows that motor operation and effectiveness are enhanced by presenting more electrical benefits of the MCIMs. The results depicts the highest torque of MCIMs in comparison with SIMs. In addition, the copper loss is decreased when the MCIM is used instead of SIM. As a result, the energy conversion procedure were remarkably enhanced. Highlights: Presenting the multi-number of IMs that coupled as mechanically. Comparing the results of various number of MCIMs to find the best structure. Investigate the MCIMs and SIM under various conditions. The output performance of MCIM increased with rising the number of cascaded IMs.
