- Abstract : The patent foramen ovale (PFO) has been increasingly implicated in the aetiology of stroke, particularly in young patients with no other identifiable cause (cryptogenic stroke). A case of Parinaud's syndrome secondary to thromboembolism from a PFO is reported here.
