- Abstract : Antimicrobial coatings and surfaces for space applications, including organic, inorganic, hybrid coatings, both commercial solutions and solutions under development are reviewed in article number 2100118 by David Duday, Małgorzata Hołyńska, and co‐workers. For applications on confined space stations, the biocompatible coatings must inhibit all kinds of pathogens, withstand a high humidity and higher CO2 content in the atmosphere for several years, as well as mechanical stress and chemical/particulate contamination.
