Abstract

Abstract : In article number 2005328, Yuichi Negishi and co‐workers describe recent progress in the field of thiolate (SR)‐protected metal nanoclusters in three areas: synthesis, understanding, and application. The challenges that must be overcome for further development in this field and the possibilities that SR‐protected metal NCs can contribute to solving the problems facing modern society are also discussed in this review.
