Abstract

Abstract: Based on data characteristics of hydrochemistry and hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopes of large area groundwater samples from two rivers basin (Yellow river and Tuhai River) in Huimin, Shandong, this paper makes a deep discussion of hydrochemical characteristics, recharge source and hydrogeochemical evolution process of groundwater. The results show that the shallow groundwater is alkalescent, hydrochemical type is Cl·HCO3 —Na·Mg, total dissolved solids (TDS) vary from 751∼6501mg/L, mainly >1000mg/L, and the average is 1824mg/L; the main resources of shallow groundwater are atmospheric precipitation and Yellow River seepage; the groundwater is jointly effected by rock weathering and evaporation concentration, the Na +, Ca 2+, Mg 2+, Cl – and SO4 2- in the groundwater have very high correlation with TDS and total hardness. The extensive existence of Br indicates an inseparable relation between groundwater and seawater i.
