Abstract

Abstract : This paper presents a novel optical type in‐cell fingerprint sensor (iFP) technology, which can detect a user's fingerprint on display. By using low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT process, new sensor material, and active pixel sensor circuit (APS), this sensor can detect a fingerprint image with good performance. The FPS/Touch/Display Driver IC (FTDI) is also implemented in this work, and successfully demonstrated.
