- Abstract: Geopolymer's are ceramic materials which have been dominating industrial and research sectors around the world in the past century. New state-of-the-art materials designed with the help of geopolymerisation reactions are opening up new applications and procedures, and transforming ideas that have been taken for granted in inorganic and mineral chemistry. Geopolymer is found in various applications. These applications include automotive and aerospace industries, non-ferrous foundries and metallurgy, civil engineering, cements and concretes, ceramics and plastics industries, waste management, art and decoration, retrofit of buildings, etc. This paper summaries the recent developments in geopolymer green technology and concludes with recommending this greener, more sustainable material for various industrial applications.
