- Abstract: In recent times, there has been significant research in the area of vibration in aircraft wings. Vibration can cause some serious failure in the structure. The increase in research in vibration has led to taking design considerations in the wings. This paper specifically focuses on the vibration in wings. Modal analysis of wing with the rectangular cross section is done with the use of Finite Element Analysis. Three different materials (Aluminum, Carbon Fiber and E-glass Fiber) have been incorporated which describe the effect of free vibration. The results show that Aluminum 2024 is best suited for the design of aircraft wings compared to other two materials.
