- Highlights: A novel split-type liquid-circulation thermoelectric cooling device is experimentally investigated. Different climate conditions are simulated using of different air flow rates and temperatures. Various parameters are evaluated to find optimum condition. Abstract: A novel split-type liquid-circulation thermoelectric cooling device is experimentally investigated for different conditions. The parameters including uh, the wind speed, Tc, Th and power of TEC, were directly recorded by measurement instruments during the experiments. The COP of thermoelectric cooling system can be improved by integrating with other technologies. This study introduces a novel split-type liquid-circulation cooling-assisted thermoelectric cooling system. The results show that when the temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor is 10 °C, a relatively low outdoor temperature helps to improve the device cooling power and provides a relatively high COP. Experimental results proved the best properties were achieved under situation of ΔTh, c = 10 °C, which the max cooling power, lowest resistance and max COP were 2028 W, 4.93 × 10 - 3 ° C / W and 4.4.
