- Abstract: The article focuses on wet‐milling of TiO2 in a vertical sand mill using naturally occurring zirconium silicate sand. The milling efficiency has been determined and compared for continuous wet‐milling experimental runs with zirconium silicate over silica sand. The particle size distribution and morphology of the milled TiO2 were evaluated. The properties and performance of zirconium silicate and silica sand processed finished TiO2 in a potential end‐application was assessed.
