Abstract

Abstract : The cover picture shows the parallelepipedic crystal habit of the CL‐20/HMX cocrystal. The missing pieces and the unfinished surface indicate the ongoing process of optimisation. The crystal surfaces reflect three key aspects of the cocrystal. The crystal structure on the left hand side represents the intrinsic chemical and physical attributes of the cocrystal, the actual crystals on the right represent the correlation between crystal quality and shape, and the achievable crystal properties, which ultimately culminate in the actual detonation performances represented by the top reflection.
