- Abstract: This paper presents experimental measurements of the internal and external forces and moments generated during forced oscillation of a modular biolocomotion emulator executing four distinct gaits at three reduced frequencies and three Reynolds numbers (including zero). The purpose of the experimental program is to develop a database of hydrodynamic force measurements that can be used to validate low-order computational methods, such as the unsteady vortex lattice method, for design analysis.
