- Abstract : EVIDENCE‐BASED ANSWER : The answer is unclear. Stimulant therapy in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) causes mild diastolic blood pressure and heart rate elevations and is associated with an increase in adverse cardiovascular (CV) events, but evidence is lacking on the usefulness and frequency of blood pressure monitoring (SOR: C, RCTs and cohort studies of disease‐oriented evidence)
