Abstract : EVIDENCE‐BASED ANSWER : Yes. PPE use is associated with reductions in the colonization rate, infection rate of MRSA, and subsequent antibiotic use (SOR: B, observational studies). Also, the use of disposable gowns and gloves for care of selected high‐risk patients has been shown to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection (SOR: B, observational studies).
