- Abstract : EVIDENCE‐BASED ANSWER : Exercise therapy has the most consistent benefit for increasing both maximum (by >100 meters) and painfree (by 39–82 meters) walking distances compared with usual therapy (SOR: A, 2 meta‐analyses). Cilostazol does not improve mean walking distance when compared with usual therapy, although both therapies improve quality of life (SOR: A, meta‐analysis). Anticoagulant drugs show no clinical benefit (SOR: A, meta‐analysis).
