- Abstract : Evidence‐Based Answer : In patients with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), isolated action plans do not decrease healthcare utilization or improve healthrelated quality of life and have variable effects on use of oral corticosteroids and antibiotics (SOR: A, systematic review of RCTs). Action plans may slightly shorten time to symptom recovery after a COPD exacerbation (SOR: B, small RCT).
