- Abstract : Evidence‐Based Answer : Probably not. Male sexual partners of females with human papillomavirus (HPV) do not appear to reliably develop penile histological changes or co‐infections with the same viral type (SOR: C, cross‐sectional and prospective cohort studies, disease‐oriented evidence). HPV screening may lead to false‐positive results and unnecessary biopsies (SOR: C, expert opinion).
