- Abstract : EVIDENCE‐BASED ANSWER : Return‐to‐play guidelines have not been evaluated, but cognitive and physical rest after a concussion are inconsistently associated with improvement in symptoms and cognitive function (SOR: C, inconsistent cohort studies). Rest may be associated with increased risk of repeat concussion (SOR: C, small subset of cohort study).
