- Abstract : The harmonic index of a graph G is defined as the sum of weights 2 / d ( u ) + d ( v ) of all edges uv of G, where d ( u ) denotes the degree of the vertex u in G . In this paper, some general properties of the harmonic index for molecular trees are explored. Moreover, the smallest and largest values of harmonic index for molecular trees with given pendent vertices are provided, respectively.
