- ABSTRACT: This study focused on assessing the opinions of the fish farmers concerning their risk management capacity under microcredit programs. Primary data were collected from male fish farmers living in the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. Binary logistic regression was used to assess the opinions of the fish farmers as to whether their fishery risk management capacity had increased due to microcredit intervention. Propensity score matching technique was used to assess the impact of microcredit on the household incomes of the fish farmers. This study revealed that microcredit had a positive impact on increasing risk management capacity and on the household incomes of the fish farmers.
