Abstract

Abstract: The 3rd Hangzhou Triennial of Fiber Art, with a theme of "Boundless Encounters, " was held on November 26 2019 Zhejiang Art Museum. A total of 78 artworks by 40 artists/groups from 18 countries and regions were exhibited at the event, showcasing the experimental spirit and development trend of dynamic and trans-boundary fiber art. Apart from fiber artworks made by traditional fabrics, high-tech fiber artworks involving the use of new mediums are also on display at the event. Chinese artists performed well for both traditional and innovative fiber artworks. The triennial also covered several workshops that welcomed the participation of the general public, creating a positive impact to the society.
