- Abstract: Indoor architectural design standards usually specify only the lower limits of environmental parameters. There are no clear and simple indicators or test methods for objective indicators of comfort in sound and light environments. This article analyses the theoretical basis of EEG in neurophysiology and environmental comfort. Taking illuminance in the light environment as the independent variable, the relationship between the average energy coefficient of visual evoked potential and subjective voting was obtained through experiments. The energy coefficient is proposed as a method to characterize comfort. This study provides a reference for the subsequent exploration of objective neurophysiological indicators of environmental comfort. Highlights: Theoretical analysis of the feasibility of visual evoked potential for light environment evaluation. The definition and calculation method of average energy coefficient are proposed. Study the relationship between average energy coefficient and subjective satisfaction.
