- Abstract : Hollow cadmium molybdate (CdMoO4 ) microspheres with an average diameter of ∼1000 nm have been successfully synthesised via a Na2 CO3 ‐assisted solution synthesis method without using any other surfactants or additives. X‐ray diffraction pattern and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterise the samples. The photocatalytic property of hollow CdMoO4 microspheres to degrade dye rhodamine B under the irradiation of UV light was evaluated, which was much better than that of solid microspheres obtained through the same solution synthesis method without the assistance of Na2 CO3 .
