- Abstract: A novel Prins strategy has been developed for the synthesis of 2, 4‐disubstituted dihydro‐2 H ‐pyran derivatives. This is the first report on the Prins cyclization of N ‐benzyl‐4‐(4‐hydroxybut‐1‐en‐2‐yl)piperidin‐4‐ol with aldehydes to produce tetrahydropyridine conjugated dihydropyran derivatives. Abstract : A novel Prins cyclization strategy has been developed for the synthesis of 2, 4‐disubstituted dihydro‐2 H ‐pyran derivatives from 1‐benzyl‐4‐(4‐hydroxybut‐1‐en‐2‐yl)piperidin‐4‐ol and aldehydes under mild conditions.
