Abstract

Abstract : Two linear matrix inequality (LMI)‐based sufficient conditions are derived for stability analysis of networked systems with linear time invariant dynamics, which depend only on the parameters of each subsystem and the subsystem connection matrix. Relations among the new sufficient conditions and the previous one are discussed. Then, a distributed state observer is constructed for networked systems. Several LMI‐based conditions are further established to design a completely distributed state observer that can be stabilised by a block diagonal gain matrix. Numerical simulations show that these methods are attractive in the analysis and synthesis of large‐scale networked systems.
