Abstract

Abstract: As a grieving father of a physician daughter who died by suicide, I continually struggle how to make meaning and sense of my horrific and tragic loss. In a moment of reflection, I looked at her life, "through her eyes, " and although, my heart will remain shattered forever, I felt momentary peace paying tribute to, and acknowledging, her pain. Although she had tremendous challenges, the poem was written with understanding, love, and a true appreciation for her wisdom and beauty.
