Abstract : Abstract: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is the commonest interstitial lung disease. Radiologists play an essential role in making an accurate diagnosis, and this is necessary given its prognostic implications and potential use of antifibrotic therapies. This review highlights the radiologic features and imaging classification of fibrosis with reference to recently updated international guidelines and emphasizing the importance of the multidisciplinary team in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis diagnosis and, in particular, when pathological sampling is required.
