- Abstract: Photovoltaic installations are becoming more prevalent globally having expected life span of 20–25 years & optimization of generated power is very vital. Power generated by PV modules is associated with various factors like environmental, climatic & inherent components. Researchers have observed up to 20% reduction in generation by adverse effects of dust, dirt, pollution, sea salt and bird droppings on the PV module. An authentic cleaning solution for PV system is suggested in this paper. Experiments using robots and cleaning mechanisms have been observed over the years however the key barriers for such solutions are costing, viability and complexity. Our study shows that the proposed design and mechanism will eliminate complexity by giving viable solution and reducing the payback period of PV system by 1.3 years.
