Abstract

Abstract : The distributed system and multi‐agent system (MAS) enable the effective and efficient management of complex distribution network. How to realise the co‐simulation with a large number of controllers for these systems is being a hot issue. In this study, the characteristics of the simulation environment, which is suitable for the distributed control system, are discussed, and a new co‐simulation method based on Java agent development framework (JADE) is proposed. It fits for the simulation of distributed system and MAS, and can simulate the physical and the communication models concurrently. After the introduction of co‐simulation environment, the modelling methods of distributed controllers are described in detail. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation on the distributed protection algorithm is carried out by means of the co‐simulation, and the effectiveness of the proposed co‐simulation environment is validated.
