Abstract

Abstract : This article is a study of a novel method for the preparation of cobalt–manganese layered double hydroxide (CoMn‐LDH). An impinging stream–rotating packed‐bed (IS–RPB) reactor is used with a coprecipitation method to prepare CoMn‐LDH. The results show that the IS–RPB reactor has a good strengthening effect on the physical and electrochemical properties of CoMn‐LDH. Compared with CoMn‐LDH prepared by a traditional stirred reactor, the sample prepared by IS–RPB has smaller particle size (187.9 nm), larger specific surface area (92.5 m 2 g −1 ), higher specific capacitance (1477 F g −1 at 1 A g −1 ), better rate capability (70.2% retention at 5 A g −1 ), and longer cycling life. All in all, this work provides a means to continuously prepare CoMn‐LDH electrode materials with outstanding performance. Abstract : (Cobalt–manganese layered double hydroxide CoMn‐LDH) is prepared by combining an impinging stream–rotating packed‐bed (IS–RPB) reactor with a coprecipitation method. Compared with the traditional stirred reactor, the physical properties and electrochemical performance of the IS–RPB reactor are excellent.
