- Highlights: Intentions to send/read text messages while driving were examined. Extended theory of planned behaviour used to identify psychosocial predictors. Past behaviour and descriptive norms were key predictors of intentions. Support for additional predictors of perceived risk and anticipated regret. Relationship between risk and sending intentions mediated by anticipated regret.
