- Abstract : Metal‐free carbon dots can be used as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents using chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST), as presented by G. Liu and co‐workers in their Communication on page 9871 ff. Carbon dots were loaded into cells using liposome‐mediated endocytosis, and MRI of these labeled cells was demonstrated in mice brains.
