- Abstract: The Nagaoka site is known as the place where the post-injection monitoring has been conducted over 10 years. During post-injection period, fluid samples were collected from the CO2 reservoir twice. The concentration of dissolved species, such as pH, Ca, and carbonates, were obtained to investigate progress of geochemical reactions between CO2 and the reservoir. In addition, a reactive transport modelling with a simplified coarse grid model has also conducted to understand behavior of CO2 in the reservoir. We succeed in explaining that the reservoir has the ability of neutralization against CO2 disturbance and of mineral trapping of CO2 as calcite.
