- Abstract: The latent heat coefficient of water vaporization is a necessary coefficient for evaluating the theoretical heat consumption of drying, which is of great significance for guiding engineering practice and evaluating energy consumption of the system. However, previous experimental models of latent heat coefficient of vaporization have their own defects, and the calculation results have large non-linear deviation. Based on the principle of non-equilibrium thermodynamics and quasi-equilibrium, according to the energy balance characteristics of grain dry state and water collection state, the mathematical solution of the latent heat coefficient of grain moisture vaporization was given by unifying free energy transfer and conversion into a scale. According to the internationally recognized saturated water and saturated steam state parameters, the expression of characteristic constant for water vaporization process was developed, which provides a theoretical basis for evaluating the energy consumption of the drying process and developing a scientific evaluation criteria of the drying process.
