- Highlights: We propose an encoding metasurface with three-layers C-shaped unit cell structure. The transmission phase from 0 to 2π can be obtained by using different rotation angles of Pancharatnam-Berry encoding elements. Fourier convolution theory in digital signal processing system can be introduced into Pancharatnam-Berry encoding metasurfaces. New different encoding sequences can be acquired by Fourier convolution operation to flexibly control the terahertz scattering with arbitrary scattering angle. Combining Pancharatnam-Berry encoding metasurfaces and Fourier convolution principle can simply realize the flexible control of terahertz scattering. The Pancharatnam-Berry encoding metasurfaces can generate different coding sequences to obtain various deflection angles. Importantly, Fourier convolution theory in digital signal processing system can be introduced into Pancharatnam-Berry encoding metasurfaces. New different encoding sequences can be acquired by Fourier convolution operation to flexibly control the terahertz scattering with arbitrary scattering angle. Thus, combining Pancharatnam-Berry encoding metasurfaces and Fourier convolution principle can simply realize the flexible control of terahertz scattering.
