Abstract

Abstract : The peripherical thioacetylation of a bithiophene-DPP molecule can greatly influence the supramolecular aggregation triggering the formation of NIR emitting J -aggregates both in films and nanoparticles with high colloidal stability. Abstract : In this work we demonstrated that the peripherical thioacetylation of a bithiophene–DPP molecule can greatly influence the solid-state properties triggering the formation of NIR emitting J -aggregates in both bithiophene–DPP films and nanoparticles. The morphology and the kinetic and thermal stability of the organic nanoparticles were also investigated.
