Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from Fetal Diagn Ther 2020;47:682–688) Fetoscopic laser ablation therapy is a treatment option currently under investigation for vasa previa. Compared with conservative treatment, laser ablation has the potential to eliminate the risk of fetal exsanguination due to premature rupture of membranes, allow for outpatient management of pregnancy, reduce the risk of iatrogenic preterm delivery, and increase the likelihood of a vaginal birth.
