- Abstract : Thermoelectric (TE) material can be used for energy harvesting that converting thermal energy into electricity. It also can be used as solid cooler by passing electricity thought the element. Performance degradation of TE devices was observed. Impedance spectrum was proposed as the non-invasive diagnostic tool. We measured impedance spectra of a single TE element as well as different TE array modules. Impedance data was measured over a range of dc bias (± 1.0 V) and temperature range (30 o C – 120 o C). Total 180 sets of data were fitted with an equivalent Rs (R1 -C1 ) (R2 -C2 ) circuit. The parameter values of three TE array modules were significant different from each other. The EIS technique can be used as an analytic tool for the diagnosis of TE array module.
