- Abstract : The effects of charged-hydrogen in 13Cr stainless steel on corrosion and anodic behavior in 200 ppm (wt%) NaCl solution is investigated with immersion tests, potentiodyanmic polarization, potentiostatic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that the charged-hydrogen decreases the open circuit potential, increases the anodic current density, decreases the capacitive arcs both in the high frequency region and frequency region of the EIS Nyquist diagram. Charged hydrogen increases the ratio of Fe/Cr of the specimen surface after immersion in NaCl solution.
