- Abstract:
- This analysis, carried out on a sample of people attending ICTs classes at University of the Third Age in Southern Italy, is aimed at examining the determinants of the frequent use of digital tools and the ability to employ multiple devices. Some items of the WHOQoL Bref questionnaire have been employed to assess specific aspects/dimensions pertaining to the respondents' quality of life. An econometric analysis based on a recursive bivariate probit has been carried out. The variables related to availability of ICTs show the greatest impact in determining the joint probability of ICTs use for multiple purposes and their frequency of use. Results are helpful in planning efficient education programs and strengthening digital engagement among older adults.
