Abstract

Abstract : The Cover Feature illustrates how the thermodynamic acid–base properties of water can be modified by secondary interactions: to be or not to be a base or an acid? This article addresses the possibility of enhancing considerably (up to 300–360 kJ mol −1 ) water acidity and basicity by noncovalent interactions. More information can be found in the Article by M.
