- Abstract : The utilization of synergy between two metal sites in dinuclear metal catalysts for CO2 reduction remains challenging. Herein, for the first time, we employ a dinuclear nickel complex as a molecular catalyst for visible‐light‐driven CO2 reduction with 99 % selectivity toward CO production. The photocatalytic mechanism was proposed based on the results of electrochemical measurements and fluorescent quenching experiments. Abstract : For the first time, a dinuclear nickel complex was utilized as an effective catalyst for light‐stimulated CO2 reduction to CO with 99 % selectivity in a water‐containing system. Its catalytic performance and mechanism were verified.
