- Abstract : The motivic Hilbert zeta function of a variety $X$ is the generating function for classes in the Grothendieck ring of varieties of Hilbert schemes of points on $X$ . In this paper, the motivic Hilbert zeta function of a reduced curve is shown to be rational.
