Abstract

Abstract : In this review, the usefulness of aryne intermediates for the synthesis of various fluorinated organic compounds during the last decade has been demonstrated. Abstract : The development of new methodologies for the synthesis of fluorinated organic molecules is in high demand due to their wide applications in agriculture and pharmaceutical sciences. Various strategies have been employed for this purpose for a long time. Arynes are well known synthetic intermediates and have gained the attention of synthetic chemists for the synthesis of various functionalized organic molecules. Consequently, these synthetic intermediates have been successfully employed in the synthesis of fluorinated organic moieties. Various useful fluorinated aromatic and heterocyclic molecules have been synthesized employing aryne intermediates. In this review, we will discuss all these methodologies developed in the last decade via aryne intermediates.
