Abstract : Synopsis: Despite at least 1 large trial showing benefit, the use of neuromuscular blockade during treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome has never become routine. This trial evaluates 90-day mortality after randomization to either early neuromuscular blockade or usual low target sedation.
