- Abstract : In article number 2004555, Matias Bargheer and co‐workers report ultrafast X‐ray diffraction experiments on nanoscale metal heterostructures, which reveal counterintuitive heat transport consistent with heat diffusion including electron‐phonon interaction. The energy deposited in few atomic layers of Pt is transported into a Ni film, which is heated more than the 100 nm Cu film through which the heat is conducted.
