- Abstract: The paper shows the results of investigation of various carbon microstructures deposited on electrodes in low-current electrical-discharges in cyclohexane as carbon feedstock and argon as neutral gas at atmospheric pressure. The plasma was generated between stainless steel needle and plate made of nickel alloy. The carbon micro- and nanostructures have grown at the tip of the needle electrode (anode) for the discharge current ranged from 0.1 mA to 3 mA. The physical properties of carbon fibres were investigated by SEM, EDS and Raman spectroscopy.
