Abstract

Abstract : Carnitine functions as a mesoporogen in LTA zeolite synthesis whereas acetylcarnitine acts as a crystal growth modifier. Experimental and theoretical studies reveal a remarkable effect of molecular conformation on the roles of organic functional groups during zeolite crystallization.
